Position: Senior Engineer                                                     Reports to: Director of Innovation

We are looking for a Senior Engineerto join our team!  This role will be responsible for steering projects from conception through to completion.  This position embodies a blend of technical expertise and leadership, ensuring that design specifications meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Knowledge, skills & Experience
  • You have 5-7 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards
  • Proven experience with process optimization, data analysis, and project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience/education in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

things you will do…
  • Lead the design and development of engineering projects, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, technical skills development, and career growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to define project specifications and requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Perform rigorous testing and validation of engineering designs to identify and rectify potential issues before full-scale production.
  • Manage the documentation process for engineering projects, ensuring all necessary materials are accurately produced and maintained for future reference and compliance.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies or methodologies to improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of engineering processes.
  • Represent the engineering department in external forums, such as conferences, workshops, or industry panels, to share insights and learn from peers.
