We are looking for a Director, Plant Manufacturing to join our Operations team! Our Director, Plant Manufacturing is responsible for directing the production and operational activities and achieving production targets in quality, productivity, efficiency, capacity, safety, and cost control.
Opportunities
While overseeing Manufacturing, Maintenance, QA and Warehouse areas of the business, your primary responsibility in this role is to create and implement manufacturing systems and processes that will lower costs and increase productivity, efficiency, quality, food safety in highly dynamic and progressive food manufacturing environment! It will be critical to understand the inner workings and daily challenges of each department while working very closely and collaboratively with our senior management team to drive business strategy and help grow the company. Some challenges may include balancing pressing priorities in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment as we continue to grow and expand.

Experience
- You have 10+ years of relevant operations management experience in a food production facility
- You have experience building and managing high functioning teams

- Experience/education in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
things you will do…
- Oversee the daily operations of the Manufacturing, Maintenance, Warehousing, and Quality Assurance
- Ensure that effective manufacturing practices (EMP’s) are continually utilized (i.e., Food Safety/GMP/HACCP) while meeting health and safety regulations
- Implement the strategic plan for the Operations
- Drive continuous improvement in plant operations, employee safety, culture, and product quality
- Manage and develop manufacturing systems, programs and processes that increase productivity, quality, food safety, and lower costs in the areas of Manufacturing, Maintenance, Warehousing, OH&S, Planning, Production Analysis and Continuous Improvement
- Actively support all Food Safety and Food Defense Programs in the daily execution of duties
- Manage and establish metrics for measuring operations
- Develop and manage the annual capital budgets driving forecasts and budget controls, including effective capacity planning
- Take leadership during the hiring process for the operations management team

- Work with the other senior executive team members on developing the business strategy and leading the company

- May on occasion work flexible shifts including weekends, as the job requires
