Production Planner
Position: Production Planner Reports to: Supply Chain Systems Manager

Experience
- Have education or experience in production planning and scheduling, APICS CPIM for example
- You have relevant experience working in a similar capacity in a food manufacturing facility
- Experience or knowledge of Certificate of Analysis
- Have customer service experience

- Relevant experience specifically with ingredients in a food manufacturing facility
- Project Management Skills
- Strong Excel Skills
- DDMRP and the DDOM knowledge and working experience
- APICS CPIM certification
- Experience with the Theory of Constraints
things you will do…
- Maintain and revise plans and schedules daily.
- Review monitor and report on the progress of work and any problems that affect the planned production.
- Ensure master item data is accurate and make sure new items are setup correctly.
- Communicate with Customer Service and/or end customers about shipment dates and updates.
- Oversee finished good inventory at Distribution Centers and facilitate appropriate D/C transfers.
- Work closely with Logistics and Production to ensure complete on-time deliveries (OTIF).
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure material and packaging demands are accurate and up to date
- Develop, document, and maintain production models to support both short-range and long-range planning and analysis
- Create and distribute production, shipment, and work schedules
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, yields, efficiency, quality, and downtime
OTHER …
- You may on occasion work at varied times for afterhours support as the job requires
- Fast response times to all communications and requests from Production and customers are critical in this role
- This position is very hands-on and in-person at this stage

- Work closely with Logistics and Production to ensure complete on-time deliveries (OTIF).
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure material and packaging demands are accurate and up to date
- Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure customers are updated and satisfied in a timely manner
- Develop, document, and maintain production models to support both short-range and long-range planning and analysis
- Create and distribute production, shipment, and work schedules
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, yields, efficiency, quality, and downtime
- Communicate and coordinate timing with relevant departments for new launches and R&D product developments.
